India vs West Indies Live Updates, 1st Test Day 2: Sai Sudharsan falls cheaply on home debut
India vs West Indies Live Updates, 1st Test Day 2: However, it was a disappointing day for Sai Sudharsan, coming in at number three and playing his first Test match at home. Three is a tricky position in Test cricket, but after the platform he was given by his opening teammates, he would have expected better from himself rather than tamely falling to Roston Chase's spin — particularly in Ahmedabad, a ground he is familiar with from the IPL.

India vs West Indies Live Updates, 1st Test Day 2: Ultimately, Jaiswal and Rahul combined for 68 runs, with Jaiswal getting going after he had his eye in. This was the big difference: Windies were already 4 down by that point.
India vs West Indies Live Updates, 1st Test Day 2: India had a watchful start with the bat
India vs West Indies Live Updates, 1st Test Day 2: In response, KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal opening the batting ensured that security and keeping hold of their wickets was the priority, rather than trying to force the issue. They took their time, particualrly after Jayden Seales looked in top form as he challenged with pace, bounce and nip. It was somewhat atypical of Jaiswal, but something he definitely has the capability for, and what KL Rahul has shown to be a great strength of his.
