Assam CM launches scheme to provide stipend to students appearing for class 10 Board exams

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched the 'Prerona' scheme to support class 10 board exam students by providing Rs 300 monthly for basic needs until exams in February. The initiative aims to empower 4.4 lakh students, reduce dropout rates, and enhance confidence. Eligible students include those from both state and CBSE schools in Assam.
