Former Union minister and veteran Congress leader Sriprakash Jaiswal passed away from cardiac arrest in Kanpur at age 81. He served in significant roles during the UPA government, including as minister of state for home affairs and coal. Jaiswal's political career began as Mayor of Kanpur, and he was a three-term MP. His death is a considerable loss for the Congress party.
