Mizo National Front (MNF) won the Dampa assembly bypoll, with R Lalthangliana securing 40% of votes against Zoram People’s Movement's (ZPM) Vanlalsailova, winning by 562 votes. Polling saw an 83.07% turnout. This election followed the death of MLA Lalrintluanga Sailo in July and signals potential MNF resurgence against ZPM's influence.
