SC seeks nationwide norms against period checks at workplaces

The Supreme Court is reviewing nationwide guidelines to prevent invasive "period checks" during menstruation in workplaces and schools, prompted by a Haryana incident where sanitation workers faced humiliation. The SCBA's petition highlights recurring violations of women's rights under Article 21 of the Constitution. The court has scheduled a hearing for December 15, 2023.
