5 Effective Tips To Tackle Oily Scalp

Are you struggling with an oily scalp? Here are some useful and effective tips to tackle oily scalp, especially during the summer

Choose the right shampoo

It is essential to choose an appropriate shampoo according to your hair and scalp. If you have an oily scalp, then opt for a silicone and paraben-free shampoo for oily scalp

Shampoo properly

Make sure to wash your hair at least 2 to 3 times a week if you have an oily scalp. If you work out a lot, then wash your hair every alternate day

Dilute the shampoo with water and lather it up before applying it to your hair. Gently massage it onto your scalp for 2 to 3 minutes and rinse it off with normal water 

Avoid vigorous scrubbing or massaging as it can irritate your scalp, cause inflammation and loss of moisture

Use a conditioner

Apply conditioner to the ends of your hair and avoid applying it to your scalp as it can make your scalp greasy and increase bacterial growth

Follow a clean diet

It is very important to maintain a healthy and clean diet to prevent an oily scalp. Include Omega-3 and fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet for healthy scalp

Avoid heating tools

Avoid using heating tools such as curling iron, straightener or blow dryer as they can make your scalp greasy and damage your tresses
