Exposure to the cold air in winter can cause eye-related issues such as dryness and itchiness. Here are 5 essential tips to help protect your eyes and promote good eye health during winter.

Wear sunglasses

Sun protection is equally important in winter as it is in summer. Opt for UV-protected sunglasses to block out harmful rays when stepping outdoors. 

Use a humidifier

There is less moisture in the air during winter, which can cause eye dryness. Use a humidifier when indoors to add moisture to the air.

Limit your screen time

One tends to blink less when spending too much time on the screen, which can lead to eye strain and dryness. Try limiting your screen time and rest your eyes in between work.

Practice personal hygiene 

Avoid rubbing your eyes and regularly wash your hands with a disinfectant to prevent the risk of potential eye infections. 

Incorporate dietery changes
