5 tips to maintain marigold plant

Marigold is an excellent flowering plant that thrives in the summer season. Here are some tips to maintain a marigold plant.

Potting

You can pot marigolds in loose and well-drained soil mixed with cocopeat to boost the soil's fertility. You can opt for a small to medium-sized pot.

Watering

Watering marigold regularly is essential to maintain the soil's fertility and boost the plant's growth. Avoid overwatering the plant as it can lead to water clogging.

Temperature

Marigold can thrive in hot temperatures from 70°F to 85°F and bloom with bright yellow and orange flowers.

Humidity

This plant can tolerate low to medium humidity levels. However, it is best to spray water on its leaves and flowers if the humidity is low.

Sunlight

Marigolds bloom beautifully and thrive in full sunlight. You can grow them in your home garden, balcony or terrace to provide them an adequate amount of sunlight.
