Karwa Chauth 2025: Flaunt your festive look with these gorgeous mehendi designs

Karwa Chauth is a loved festival for married women in India.

This year, the festival falls on October 9 and 10, the fourth day after the full moon in the Hindu month of Kartik.

Floral motifs, leaves, and lotuses are common in mehendi designs.

Women start the day with a pre-dawn meal called ‘Sargi,’ made by their mother-in-law to keep them energised through the fast.

Some mehendi designs include leafy tendrils and elephant motifs, symbolising growth, prosperity, and marital harmony.

Evening rituals include prayers and a glimpse of the moon, when women break their fast with their husbands.

Intricate mehendi patterns with dots, latticework, peacocks, and matkas symbolise love, happiness, and timeless festive charm.
