A Durham County jury has ordered social media influencer Brenay Kennard to pay $1.75 million to Akira Montague for alienation of affection and criminal conversation after Kennard allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with Akira's husband during their marriage. North Carolina allows such lawsuits, and the jury found sufficient evidence against Kennard, who claimed the marriage was already over.
