South Korea pledges to take action if needed as Won weakens
South Korea's finance ministry vowed to monitor markets closely and take necessary actions to stabilize the won, which hit a six-month low. Following a decline due to foreign stock sell-offs, officials emphasized readiness to intervene, especially amid ongoing Korea-US tariff negotiations. The won slightly recovered, rising 0.2% to 1,434.50 per dollar.
