Pravaig Dynamics has commenced bookings for Defy and deliveries are expected to begin in the third quarter of next year. The electric SUV has an all-wheel drive system.
Bengaluru-based Pravaig Dynamics unveiled its first electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) Defy in India on Friday. The SUV is priced at ₹39.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and will compete with the likes of the Audi e-tron and Mercedes Benz EQC.
Pravaig Dynamics has commenced bookings for Defy and deliveries are expected to begin in the third quarter of next year. The electric SUV has an all-wheel drive system.
Defy has a range of over 500 kilometres and can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 4.9 seconds, according to the start-up. It has a top speed of 210 kmph.
The electric SUV can charge from 0 to 80% in 30 mins and the battery is capable of lasting 250,000 km.
Defy comes powered by a dual electric motor which is claimed to deliver 407hp and 620Nm.
The electric SUV has a muscular and sharp design and Pravaig Dynamics has promised that it will be available in 11 different exterior colour options, according to a report by HT Auto. Defy has a ground clearance of 234 mm.
The interior of the car features upholstery leather seats with six-way power adjustment and ventilation. Pravaig Dynamics has provided a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display. A few other features include a wireless charger, and 240V outlet along with separate climate control zones for front and rear passengers.
Pravaig's chief strategy officer Ram Divedi told news agency PTI on Friday that Defy is more affordable to own than other competing products in the market, adding the company has raked in around 800 bookings for the electric SUV so far.
