Made in UP electric vehicles to be exported to U.S, says Yogi government: Report
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has told his officials that the auto and electric vehicles in western and central UP have ample resources and just need to be pushed.
The Uttar Pradesh government has said that the electric vehicles manufactured in the state will be exported to other South Asian countries and even United States.

The CM said the move will also generate employment on a large scale. The gross state value addition of UP in the auto sector was $1.5 billion in 2019 which can be increased to $5 billion in the next five years.
The government said it will spend $19-20 billion on development of auto sector which will need 9,000-10,000 acres of land in central and western UP.
Agra, Aligarh, Prayagraj, Shahjahanpur, Saharanpur and Etawah have been marked by the state government to boost the MSME sector. The government has marked Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Hapur, Kanpur Nagar and Meerut for setting up big enterprises to promote the auto industry.
On October 13, the UP government had announced the electric vehicle policy and said the main objective of the policy is to make the state a global hub of the manufacturing of EVs, batteries and other equipment.
The government had said the EV policy is aiming to attract the investment of more than ₹30,000 crore and generate employment for over 10 lakh people.
