The municipal corporation (MC) will propose exempting standby duty charges for free fire safety cover at all government and religious events within the city. However, fees for private events remain unchanged. This decision follows a previous unanimous approval for chargeable government events and recent increases in standby charges. The MC cites administrative challenges in fee recovery as justification for the proposal.
