Those blaming Punjab for pollution in Delhi forget that Haryana lies between the state and the national capital. They are not blaming Haryana for this chaos, Punjab CM said
A day after the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) instructed Punjab officials to simultaneously register an FIR, impose a fine, and make ‘red entries’ in revenue records against farmers indulging in stubble burning, chief minister Bhagwant Mann has said that it’s a conspiracy to defame the state.
Addressing the new recruits, including 73 medical officers and 50 women health workers, CM Bhagwant Mann said that the Punjab government has provided a record 56,856 government jobs to the youth in the last 3.5 years. (Sourced)
Speaking at an event where he handed over appointment letters to 858 individuals across government departments on Saturday, the CM said, “As a part of a planned conspiracy, Punjab is being defamed for pollution in the national capital on the pretext of stubble burning, whereas the reality is completely different. Those blaming Punjab for pollution in Delhi forget that Haryana lies between the state and the national capital. They are not blaming Haryana for this chaos,” Mann said.
Addressing the new recruits, including 73 medical officers and 50 women health workers, Mann said that the Punjab government has provided a record 56,856 government jobs to the youth in the last 3.5 years. “Today, 858 youths have joined the family of the Punjab government and now they will become an active partner in the social and economic progress of the state,” the CM said.
