Haryana's DG of Prisons, Alok Kumar Roy, announced successful measures to control gangster culture in jails, including transferring over 50 gang-related inmates and enhancing surveillance technology. He inspected facilities and highlighted vocational training for inmates. Current jail capacity exceeds 27,000, prompting new jail constructions to alleviate overcrowding. Roy was reappointed until December 31 after retirement.
