A senior constable, Gurdas Singh, was arrested for allegedly stealing ₹1.25 crore in cash and valuables from the Sidhwan Bet Police Station's property room. The theft was discovered during a court hearing due to tampered seals on a storage box. Singh, set to retire soon, faces charges of criminal misappropriation and theft. An inquiry committee has been formed.
