Pick-up truck driver held with 4.5kg opium in Ludhiana
Police in Ludhiana, India, have arrested a suspected drug dealer and recovered 4.5kg of narcotics from his vehicle. Gurpreet Singh was stopped by police in Salem Tabri and arrested under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. Another woman, Rajinder Kaur, was arrested and 45g of heroin and drug money was found in her possession. Bawa Singh was arrested in Jagraon and charged under the same act after police found 2.7kg of opium in his possession.
