The Election Commission of India has suspended Tarn Taran SSP Dr. Ravjot Kaur Grewal ahead of the November 11 assembly by-election. The Shiromani Akali Dal accused her of using police to file false FIRs against its members to hinder their campaign. Amritsar CP Gurpreet Singh Bhullar will take over her duties. Grewal was appointed as Tarn Taran SSP in September.
