Death-row convict Balwant Singh Rajoana has urged the Akal Takht to expedite his pending mercy petition, which has been unresolved for over 14 years. Convicted for the assassination of former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh, Rajoana criticized the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee for inaction and highlighted the Supreme Court's concerns over the prolonged delay in his case.
