Stubble burning cases in Punjab cross 600

Punjab has recorded 60 new stubble burning cases, totaling 621 since mid-September, with 380 incidents in the past week alone. Tarn Taran is the most affected district. Authorities have intensified crackdowns, registering 241 FIRs against violators and imposing penalties. Despite lower numbers compared to last year, officials warn of a potential surge as harvesting peaks.
