DJB plans to use treated wastewater for lake, water table recharge
The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has proposed a plan to enhance wastewater reuse, aiming to recharge wetlands and groundwater systems, as only 125 MGD of the 701 MGD treated wastewater is currently utilized. The initiative includes projects to channel 78.5 MGD for environmental revitalization and reduced groundwater reliance, with ongoing efforts to supply treated water for irrigation in various districts.
