PWD starts building new water outlet system to prevent waterlogging at Zakhira underpass

The Public Works Department (PWD) is constructing a drain and sump near Zakhira flyover in west Delhi, allocating ₹4 crore to tackle persistent waterlogging issues that have repeatedly closed the underpass during monsoons. A permanent pump and upgraded drainage system are planned to ensure efficient stormwater evacuation. The project, addressing 71 identified hot spots, aims for completion before peak monsoon.
