Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced a transit-oriented development (TOD) policy for Delhi, set to be revealed within a month, allowing high-rise buildings near metro corridors and enhancing connectivity through skywalks and tunnels. The initiative aims to redefine urban corridors and improve last-mile connectivity with a new POD Taxi system. Additionally, a luxury seating option in metros and the establishment of Delhi Metro International Limited were introduced to expand the metro network.
