Union minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced plans for a large convention centre in Gurugram to host international conferences and cultural events, emphasizing the need for state-of-the-art facilities. The Haryana government will identify land, while the central government will provide funding. Currently, Gurugram lacks a large convention centre, though the Municipal Corporation plans two, and the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority is in the planning stages for another.
