Truly alarming, says Mamata Banerjee as another BLO dies by suicide, blames SIR
A para teacher in West Bengal's Nadia district died by suicide on Saturday, allegedly due to work pressure from the electoral roll's Special Intensive Revision (SIR). The 53-year-old blamed the Election Commission of India in her note, prompting Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to express concern over escalating suicides linked to the SIR. This marks the second such incident in a week.
