Harassment, conversion claims: KGMU suspends resident doctor, FIR lodged
A senior resident doctor at King George’s Medical University has been suspended following an FIR over allegations of harassment and forced religious conversion of a female colleague. The accused, Rameez Uddin Nayak, faces multiple charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Uttar Pradesh Unlawful Religious Conversion Prohibition Act. The victim, who attempted suicide, received police protection after the chief minister's intervention.
