The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) commenced a demolition drive on Wednesday to reclaim land for its Anant Nagar scheme on Mohaan Road, prompting backlash from residents of a private colony who claim they were not notified. LDA officials stated that 35 houses obstruct development, while residents, facing inadequate compensation, plan to contest the demolition legally. The area has been designated for the housing project for years.
