Lucknow's air quality worsened significantly during Diwali, with PM 10 levels soaring to 645 micrograms per cubic meter, a 183% rise from pre-Diwali levels. PM 2.5 also increased sharply. Noise pollution exceeded safe limits, reaching 89.3 decibels in Vikas Nagar. Experts recommend community firework displays and stricter regulations on firecrackers to mitigate health risks and environmental impact.
