New property tax mgmt system may bring 90K more properties under LMC’s watch

The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) is set to enhance its property tax management with a new system (PTMS) that will identify thousands of previously unassessed properties, expanding the tax base significantly. Currently, manual surveys reveal a gap of 90,000 buildings. This initiative, part of the Smart City project, aims for fairness in tax assessments and easier access for taxpayers.
