The Union government will invest Rs 100 crore to establish 100 quantum teaching labs across India, enhancing education in emerging quantum technologies under the National Quantum Mission (NQM). This initiative, revealed by DST secretary Abhay Karandikar, follows over 500 proposals. Facilities at IITs and IISc will support various quantum applications, promoting technological independence and training future specialists.
