Ex-civic officials, former corporator booked for taking over govt land in Vasai

MUMBAI: The Vasai police have filed an FIR regarding alleged encroachment of a police plot for a private project between 2015-17, naming several municipal officials, a former corporator, and an architect as accused. The plot, housing police facilities, was illegally transformed into a Development Plan road without proper sanction. The case has been handed to the Economic Offences Wing.
