Mumbai's municipal corporations face a critical staff shortage for the simultaneous elections across all 29 local bodies in Maharashtra. While the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation copes, smaller corporations seek help from district collectorates. Palghar's collectorate has reassigned staff to support Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar, and Bhiwandi, totaling over 10,000 personnel deployed for election duties amid significant demand.
