GREATER NOIDA: The Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS) is now providing free cataract treatment, including surgery and medications, to alleviate financial burdens for economically disadvantaged patients, as cataract causes 66.2% of blindness in India. Director Dr. Rakesh Gupta emphasized the initiative's goal to enhance access to quality care, particularly for those unable to afford private treatment.
