Eighteen Maoists were killed in a recent encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, with three District Reserve Guard personnel also losing their lives. The operation, which lasted over 24 hours, targeted senior Maoist cadres linked to previous violent incidents. A substantial cache of weapons was seized, reflecting intensified efforts against Maoist activities in the region.
