Punjab forms ‘CM Flying Squad’ to monitor quality of road construction
The Punjab government has established a “CM Flying Squad” to oversee road quality for public works and the Punjab Mandi Board. This initiative aims to ensure construction standards are met amid reports of poor-quality work. Senior engineers will monitor projects across various districts, as the state plans to upgrade 19,000 km of roads at a cost exceeding ₹1,200 crore.
