Two unidentified assailants shot BJP member Vinod Das in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, late Thursday night. Das, returning from a wedding, sustained a thigh injury and is hospitalized. BJP MLA Kedar Gupta confirmed their attendance at the wedding. A case has been filed, and a manhunt for the attackers is underway. Das previously contested local elections and held a party position.
