Maoist zonal commander with <span class='webrupee'>₹</span>50,000 bounty on head killed in encounter

A Maoist zonal commander, Dayanand Malakar, was killed in an encounter with Bihar STF and Begusarai police, who had a ₹50,000 bounty on his head. Malakar, linked to over 16 criminal cases, was identified as a key figure in the outlawed CPI-Maoist. The operation followed intelligence of a planned attack, resulting in a gunfight.
