Now a ₹826.62 crore plan to make Indrayani, Pavana rivers pollution-free
The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has launched an ₹826.62 crore river rejuvenation plan to clean the Indrayani and Pavana rivers. Funded by the Centre and Maharashtra, the project targets untreated sewage and pollution from religious activities. It includes modern sewage treatment facilities and solid waste management systems across 54 villages, ensuring compliance with water quality norms.
