To address Pune's parking crisis, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) is converting 100 idle amenity spaces into parking lots along metro lines 1, 2, and 3, with 31 locations already finalized. This initiative aims to alleviate roadside congestion and improve last-mile connectivity. The PMC controls nearly 150 hectares of amenity land, much of which is currently misused or encroached upon.
