Jo Ann Allen Boyce, who wrote a book about her experience integrating Clinton High School, has died
Jo Ann Allen Boyce, a key figure in the integration of public schools in the South as part of the "Clinton 12," passed away at 84 from pancreatic cancer in Los Angeles. Despite facing violent opposition during the 1956 desegregation at Clinton High School, she later advocated for love and forgiveness. Boyce is survived by her family, including her late actor grandson, Cameron Boyce.
