Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt and his wife were arrested in Mumbai for allegedly defrauding Dr. Ajay Murdia of Rs 30 crore, with police remanding them to custody until December 16. Murdia claims he was promised Rs 200 crore for a biopic on his late wife, but nothing materialized, prompting him to file an FIR on November 17.
