Judge nixes conviction of one of two men found guilty of killing Run-DMC's Jam Master Jay
A judge has acquitted Karl Jordan Jr. of the 2002 murder of hip-hop icon Jam Master Jay, citing insufficient evidence of motive. This ruling comes nearly two years post-verdict from a jury trial. Jordan's co-defendant, Ronald Washington, was denied a similar acquittal. Jam Master Jay, a pioneer in hip-hop, was shot in his Queens studio.
