Delhi CM, Amit Shah, Kangana Ranaut among others attend Dharmendra prayer meet in Delhi
Dharmendra passed away on November 24 in Mumbai after a prolonged illness.
Legendary actor Dharmendra passed away on November 24 in Mumbai. After a prayer meet was held in Mumbai on November 27, 2025, actor-politician Hema Malini along with daughter Esha Deol, ex-husband Bharat Takhtani, Ahana Deol and husband Vaibhav Vohra held a separate prayer meet in Delhi on Thursday afternoon.
It was organised at Dr Ambedkar International Centre, Janpath from 4pm to 6:30pm. A heartfelt farewell to the He-man was given by showcasing his showreel especially made by director Anil Sharma and his team.
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Home Minister Amit Shah, Actor and Lok Sabha MP Kangana Ranaut, Ravi Kishan, Ranjeet were seen in attendance. Seating arrangements were made for the dignitaries while the entire venue had a white floral decor.
While remembering the late superstar, Hema Malini shares, “I have an association with Dharmendra ji since 57 years. Since the time I entered the film industry, I got to work with him in most of my films. We nearly did 45 films out of which 25 films were superhit. We were a hit pair.”
“When he started doing Urdu poetry, people saw his new side. He used to say the Urdu shayaris as per the situation. I even suggested him to publish a book for his well wishers as he was a great writer. He even did a lot of planning around it but that couldn’t happen,” she adds with a heavy heart.
Delhi CM Rekha Gupta shares, “A personality like Dharmendra is rare. One gets to see an actor like him maybe once in a lifetime. His charming smile will always live in our hearts. He was such a huge superstar that he has fans across the globe. We will always remember his films forever.”
