Esha Deol shares a heartbreaking post as she returns to work after the demise of her father Dharmendra

On November 24 this year, the Hindi film industry lost one of its biggest gems when veteran superstar Dharmendra breathed his last. The He-Man of Bollywood passed away at his Mumbai residence, leaving his fans heartbroken and his loved ones with an irreplaceable void in their lives. It has been over three weeks since the loss, and today Dharam Paaji’s daughter Esha Deol took to her official social media handle to pen a note for her fans and followers. Announcing her return to work commitments, Esha requested the internet to be kind to her in an emotional post.

On her Instagram story, Esha Deol wrote: “I had kept a few work commitments on hold for a long time which I would be posting & sharing with you all now in the coming days. Please understand me as a human & most importantly as a daughter who is still grieving the loss of her most loving precious father. A loss I would never get over.” Esha went on to share, “If I had things my way I would wish to not be on this platform for sometime and just take a break. But I can't do that. So try & be kind and understanding. Thank you for the love & support always. Love you all.”

Days after Dharam Paaji passed away, his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol hosted a prayer meet at Taj Lands End in Mumbai. Dharmendra’s wife Hema Malini did not attend it, but organised a Gita Paath at her house on the same day. On December 11, Hema and her daughters Ahana Deol and Esha Deol organised a separate prayer meet for Dharmendra at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre, Janpath in New Delhi. After his passing away, fans are now eagerly waiting to witness Dharam Ji’s magic on silver screen one last time in his posthumous release, Ikkis. Also starring Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda and Akshay Kumar’s niece Simar Bhatia, the Sriram Raghavan film is set to release on January 1, 2026.
