4.3mn SIR cuts likely in Rajasthan, urban hubs Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota may be most hit

In Rajasthan, a special revision of electoral rolls may remove approximately 4.3 million names, with the most deletions occurring in urban areas like Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Kota. The Election Commission's survey, covering 199 constituencies, revealed a 7.9% deletion rate, similar to Bihar's earlier this year. The final electoral roll will be published in February 2026.
