The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) achieved a significant victory in Punjab's rural body elections, winning 63% of zila parishad zones and 54% of panchayat samiti zones, with Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal trailing behind. AAP's Arvind Kejriwal credited this success to the Bhagwant Mann-led government's initiatives, amidst accusations of election misconduct from opposition parties.
