Another woman student attempts self-immolation in Odisha, 5th case in 6 months

A second-year female student in Odisha's Sundergarh district suffered severe burns in an alleged self-immolation attempt, reportedly due to harassment, marking the fifth such incident in six months. A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the case. The victim’s family reported she received threatening calls prior to the incident, raising alarms about rising harassment cases in the state.
