Kolkata BDO Prasanta Burman has denied allegations of murdering jeweller Swapan Kamilya, claiming the charges are fabricated and a conspiracy against him due to his scheduled caste background. Kamilya was found dead with injuries on October 29, and his family alleged Burman abducted him. Burman insists he was not in the area and denies any wrongdoing. Investigations are ongoing.
