A Booth Level Officer (BLO) in West Bengal's Nadia district, Rinku Tarafdar, was found dead by suicide on Saturday, with her family attributing her death to overwhelming work-related stress from the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee condemned the situation, calling it alarming and demanding accountability from the Election Commission. Tarafdar's suicide note blamed the ECI for her distress.
